We are thrilled to share that Kandes 3D wall panels will be featured at the upcoming exhibition and lecture event “Building in Transition”, hosted by the ELEMENTE MaterialForum in Berlin.

This respected forum connects architects, designers, engineers, and material innovators in a dialogue about the future of construction, exploring sustainable, holistic materials and emerging technologies.

From May 22 to May 28, 2025, visitors will discover a curated selection of eco-conscious building products, advanced fabrication methods, and pioneering surface solutions shaping the built environment of tomorrow.

The exhibition will highlight how traditional building approaches are evolving in response to today’s environmental and technological challenges. ELEMENTE MaterialForum will act as a hub for collaboration, inspiration, and knowledge-sharing across architecture, design, and production.

About the Event

“Building in Transition” focuses on material innovation and rethinking how natural and traditional materials such as plaster, wood, and stone are redefined through digital design, parametric modelling, 3D printing, and sustainable compositions.

The exhibition will showcase contributions from design studios, manufacturers, and research institutions in collaboration with renowned participants, including Sauerbruch Hutton, New Digital Craft GmbH, Heidelberg Materials, Klimapraxis, HALM GmbH, Carbocon, Carl Stahl Arc, Hochschule Biberach & HFT Stuttgart, B2Square, EcoCocon, Hessler Kalkwerke, GIMA Girnghuber, Senso Nord, Just Naturstein, Fibian Estrichbau, Golem Baukeramik, Heap59, Hentschke Bau, Prefa, MN Metall, Sika Deutschland, Smarter Habitat, Kandes, Stonearts, and others.

Kandes Participation

Kandes is proud to join this important dialogue with its collection of 3D gypsum wall panels—demonstrating that ornamental wall solutions can meet the highest standards of fire safety, environmental responsibility, and architectural design.

Our panels are defined by precise geometry, are fully paintable, and carry an A1 non-combustible fire classification. They are designed for both residential and commercial use, making them an ideal choice for architects and designers seeking surfaces that unite aesthetic distinction with technical performance.

The exhibition will allow visitors to experience the sculptural qualities of Kandes panels first-hand, while exploring how gypsum-based surfaces can be elegant, durable, and eco-conscious elements of contemporary interiors.
